Fencing and gates provide a feeling of privacy and security at Departure Bay Beach House, but do not close in the house. The street is a no exit street, and is primarily used by locals who have lived in the neighbourhood for years. Ocean front, the views stretch for miles and are captured at every angle by floor to ceiling windows inside the house. Decks and patios allow for hours of pondering life, entertaining, and enjoying friends and family while surround by ocean, mountain views, from sunrise to sunset.

The house is located on well-groomed grounds maintained by a year-round gardener. The property has views of ocean and mountains and the ever changing comings and goings of ferries and sea planes, beach walkers, kayaks, fishing boats, plus otters, seals, hawks and eagles. There are stone stairs leading off of the front patio directly onto the beach. There is a park and recreation area located one street away from the house.
